Bellwood-Antis defeated the Bishop Guilfoyle Lady Marauders in a volleyball match, Thursday at BG.
In winning in four games, 25-20, 25-19, 21-25 and 25-21, the Lady Blue Devils reversed a defeat suffered to BG that is their only blemish on a 14-1 season for first-year head coach Stephanie Burner and her B-A girls volleyball squad.
Stephanie Hatch had 14 service points, including five aces and added seven blocks and 20 kills to lead the B-A attack. Nicole Ross had 10 service points, Lauren Carter had four service points, including two aces, eight blocks, two digs and 17 kills, Elyse Schreckengost added eight service points, one block and two digs and Katie Palmer had six points, one block and four digs.
Alycia Shields had 15 kills for the Lady Marauders who fell to 9-6, Jill Heiss had 10 service points and Kate Byrne had 35 assists.
Bellwood-Antis also won the junior varsity match winning in three games, 25-10, 19-25 and 15-13.
Meredith Palmer had four points, including two aces, seven kills and 17 digs to lead the Lady Blue Devil Jayvees.
Bellwood-Antis will travel to Claysburg for a match against the Lady Bulldogs on Monday, with the junior varsity match beginning at 6 p.m.
