Does “comfort food” sound good on a cold January evening?
If it does, then join members of the Tyrone Community Partnership on Thursday, January 27 for the “Comforts of Home” Dinner from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the Tyrone Social Center, 120 W. 10th Street.
The menu includes: chicken and homemade noodles, meatloaf, roast pork, mashed potatoes and gravy, macaroni and cheese, stewed tomatoes, green bean casserole, cole slaw and applesauce, rolls and butter, dessert and beverages.
Advanced tickets are $8 for adults; $4 for children and kids under five eat free. At the door, tickets will be $9 for adults and $5 for children. Everyone is encouraged to get their tickets in advance at the following locations: Tyrone Social Center, G & P Dollar Stretchers, Joybeans, Alice’s Garden, Open Door Visions or the Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce.
Also, join the Partnership for an elegant evening of dining and dancing on Friday, February 11 at the Tyrone Social Center.
It’s a Valentine’s Dinner Dance with a superb dinner and music from the Big Band era with Blue Ice, a live seven-piece orchestra featuring vocalist, Jean Bolger.
The menu includes: mixed salad greens, sliced tenderloin of beef with sauce bernaise, crab stuffed shrimp, twice baked potatoes, fresh roasted vegetables, rolls and butter, walnut raspberry cream torte and dinner beverages.
There will be complimentary wine and beer, or individuals may bring their own bottle, if they wish.
The admission price is $30 per adult, and that includes both dinner and the musical entertainment. Tables of eight are available for $225. The sit-down dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Dancing is scheduled from 8 p.m. until 11 p.m.
