The state police have released a report this week on a drug possession case in Antis Township which dates back to March.
Police said 35-year-old Michael Ellis Stacey of Altoona was found trespassing on Norfolk Southern Railroad property off Riggles Gap Road on March 10 at 1:24 p.m.
After further investigation he was found to be in possession of 0.26 grams of “crack” cocaine. Charges in the case were filed at a local district justice office.

A heist at Brinks US in Antis Township in October has been revealed by state police earlier this week.
The incident happened at 2 Ritz Road sometime between Oct. 9 and 11. A small amount of money is missing. Police are continuing their investigation.

A father was victimized by his son during an early November theft on Hoover’s Lane in Snyder Township.
State police said 24-year-old Timothy Waite, Jr. took about $700 in old silver coins and a craftsman chainsaw from the residence of 42-year-old Timothy Waite, Sr. on Nov. 4 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

A Tyrone man escaped injury but not the long arm of the law in a one-vehicle accident in Antis Township on Nov. 13 on 1:30 p.m.
Aaron Timothy Jeffries was traveling on TR-490 when he lost control of his vehicle while rounding a slight curve. Jeffries smashed his vehicle into the bridge located along the west berm.
He then fled the scene and numerous citations were issued against him by state police.

Two men shaved a local grocery store of some of its merchandise earlier this month.
Martin’s Foods in Pinecroft, Antis Township was hit by two white males shortly after 11 a.m. on Nov. 14 when they took approximately $450 worth of Gillette Mach 3 razors and exited the store.
According to state police, the two men got into a car that did not have a registration plate and fled the scene.

A construction site in Snyder Township was the scene of a theft of property from a vehicle on Nov. 16.
An unnamed victim reported his vehicle was entered at the site at the corner of Cold Springs Road and State Route 4027. His wallet was taken from the vehicle. The wallet had various documents including personal checks and $700 in cash. Police are continuing their investigation.

A Tyrone woman was injured in an accident which involved her vehicle and an object from a Mack truck on Interstate 99 North about one mile south of the Tyrone exit in Snyder Township.
The accident happened on Nov. 16, shortly after 9 a.m. when both vehicles were traveling on the highway. According to state police, the brake drum on the left rear axle fell off.
Seventy-year-old Helen Marie Grindall noticed the brake drum falling from the truck and tried to avoid hitting it by straddling it with her car. The drum struck the undercarriage of her vehicle.
The driver of the truck gave his company’s name and insurance information and left the scene. Police said the truck driver’s name was unknown.
Grindall was taken to Bon Secours Hospital for treatment by Bellwood Ambulance.
