Mrs. Anna J. Banks Irvin, 70, of Thomastown, RD4 – Box 244, Tyrone, Pa. died at 4:58 a.m. Sunday, November 21, 2004 at the Altoona Hospital Campus of the Altoona Regional Health System after a lengthy illness.
She was born Dec. 5, 1933 in Grazierville, Pa., a daughter of the late Anthony J. and Jessie M. (Grazier) Iadarola.
She was twice married, first to John H. Banks on March 14, 1953 at Bald Eagle, Pa. who died Nov. 28, 1977. Then to Robert H. Irvin on July 11, 1980 at Winchester, Va.
She is survived by her husband Bob; three sons, Rick A. Banks (Cheri) of Bellefonte, John H. Banks, II (Kathy) of Breckville, Ohio and Terry L. Banks (Stacey) of North Ridgeville, Ohio; five grandchildren; step-children, Deborah Murray (Mahlon) of Tyrone, Linda Smith (Larry) of Warriors Mark, William Irvin (Beth) of Port Matilda, Carole Womer (Ramey) of Philipsburg; five step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marjorie Gizzio of Wallingford, Pa, Antoinette Smith of Pottstown, Pa, Gloria Gutierrez of Houston, Tx.; one brother, Ronald J. Iadarola of Bellefonte, Pa; an uncle, Joseph M. Iadarola of RD4 Tyrone and an aunt, Mary Renata of Cresson, Pa.
She attended the Spring Mount Church of the Brethren.
She was a graduate of Tyrone High School in 1951.
She retired Aug. 1994 after 24 years in the Central Supply Dept. of Tyrone Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, with Rev. Warren MacEachern officiating. Interment will follow at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and one hour before the service on Wednesday.
