Area state police blotter
A two-vehicle accident on Route 220 in Taylor Township, Centre County, left a Kansas man with minor injuries on Nov. 2 at 5:45 p.m.
The two vehicles were traveling south when one of the vehicles operated by 56-year-old Michael Warren of Leavenworth, KS slowed for a vehicle waiting to turn left. The other vehicle was driven by 26-year-old Jason Adams of Port Matilda. He noticed Warren’s vehicle was stopped and he applied his brakes but was unable to stop on the wet road.
The right front of Adams’ vehicle struck the left rear of Warren’s vehicle. Adams was cited for the violation known as “driving vehicle at safe speed.”
Warren suffered minor injuries and complained of neck pain. He was wearing a seat belt. Adams was also wearing a seat belt and he was not injured.
Adam’s pick-up truck had moderate damage and had to be towed from the scene located about two miles south of Port Matilda Borough. Warren’s vehicle had minor damage.

A 30-year-old Hawley man escaped injury in a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 99 about 300 feet south of the Tyrone exit in Snyder Township on Nov. 4 at 5:20 p.m..
Douglas B. Hosking was traveling on the road and he lost control of his car on the wet road. His vehicle left the road and struck a Jersey barrier between the north and south bound lanes. The vehicle impacted the barrier with its left rear side and then traveled back onto and across the road, doing a 180-degree turn before traveling off the road and up an embankment on the east side of the interstate.
Hosking was wearing a seat belt and he was not injured. His vehicle had moderate damage.

Police report a Tipton man lost a gun somewhere in Antis Township on Nov. 6 between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Richard Bonsell took a S & W JC High Point .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun outside his residence in Tipton to show a friend. After showing the gun, he laid it on the bumper of his pickup truck. The man’s wife then got into the truck and drove away not knowing the gun was on the bumper. The gun fell off the truck somewhere in the Tipton area.

A gasoline pump and run case happened at a convenience store in Snyder Township on Nov. 7 at 12:30 p.m.
Police report a man pumped $23 worth of unleaded gas into a green Chevrolet Cavalier at Snappy’s and then drove away without paying for it. The vehicle was described as a newer model.
The suspect was described as between 30 to 35-years-old with brown hair.

A Sony Playstation was taken from a residence on Bel Tip road on Nov. 8 between 7:20 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. on Nov. 8.
Police listed Tammy Jo Sessaman as the victim in the case and they also reported the suspects were known.

An Altoona woman has been accused of criminal trespass after an incident at a store in Antis Township on Nov. 8 at 4:25 p.m.
Forty-three-year-old Stephanie A. Duffield appeared at Bickel’s Surplus Store after she had been given notice not to appear at any business locations owned by the victim. She had been banned after being caught and charged with retail theft.
After Duffield was observed and told to leave she did leave the store premises and drove away.
Police learned she had a suspended driver’s license during their investigation. State police said the woman was being charged with defiant trespass and driving under suspension.
