Come join and celebrate Christmas in July with the Tyrone Merchants Association, Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce, along with other area organizations and groups this Saturday.
Join the festivities from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for a day of shopping, entertainment, food, family games and activities. Within this downtown festival-like atmosphere, one could expect to find the sidewalks bustling with sales, the city hotel park filled with live entertainment, and various food and street vendors lined along the streets.
Several area merchants will be participating in this event. Each retailer is set to showcase their goods in the form of a sidewalk sale, along with in-store discounts throughout the downtown community. Other area merchants will be on hand setting up in booths scattered throughout the downtown area.
Various forms of live entertainment will be taking place at the Hotel Park, on the corner of Pennsylvania Ave. and 10th Street. Live bands, vocal groups and assorted musicians will be playing various types of music.
Food vendors will be readily available throughout the downtown as well.
Family activities and fun children’s games will be available too.
Organizers have been planning and developing this event over the last few months. They are excited on how to better promote and support the area merchants, groups and organizations that are all a part of the Tyrone community.
This event will kick off the 2005 celebration season as it is the first of three main events planned for the Tyrone area. Other upcoming events include Railfest 2005 and the second annual Tyrone Victorian Christmas Celebration.
