Tomorrow, the inspirational sounds of the EBC Praise Team will be featured in the “Fun Friday” series.
Beginning at 7 p.m. at the downtown City Hotel Park, this group of local musicians will offer the best in contemporary Christian hits.
Band members include Larry Sprankle and Luther Sprankle on percussion, Bill and Sarah Ewing provide vocals, Sallie Donner on bass, Paula Rodkey on keyboard and Brett Rodkey on guitar.
The EBC Praise Team began performing four years ago and has, since that time, offered live inspirational music to audiences throughout the region.
Following the concert, the third Fun Family Outdoor Movie will begin in the M&T lot next to Joybeans Coffee Shop at dusk.
Outdoor Movies are made possible by a joint partnership between the Emmanuel Baptist Church and the Tyrone Arts Council.
In the event of rain, the concert and movie will be held in the Tyrone Community Players building on Logan Avenue.
The Summer Sunday series continues on August 7 with one of the area’s most dynamic entertainers. The best in music of the 1940s to today will be performed with that special blend of talent and showmanship only Zupe can offer.
Zupe has been entertaining audiences of all ages for more than a decade.
He grew up studying big bands, played in a successful rock band in Europe while studying jazz composition under a Julliard master pianist, and won rave reviews for his Top 40 dance show in this country.
His use of computers and keyboards allows Zupe to create a whole band effect so successful that the audience finds it hard to believe that only one man is on stage. In addition, everyone leaves with a smile.
Summer Sunday concerts are held at the Reservoir Park amphitheater beginning at 6 p.m. and are free of charge.
In the event of rain, the concert will be held in the Lutheran Church on Logan Avenue. This project is supported in part by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency, the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency and Tyrone Borough.
