Andrea’s School of Dance, located at 426 Main Street, Bellwood, officially announces the appointment of Bethany Miller, award-winning dancer and choreographer, as Associate Artistic Director.
Miller offers twenty years of dance experience to her students, including eight years of experience in competitive dance. She received her BA in Integrative Arts with a Dance Studies Minor at Penn State University. While at Penn State, Miller was a member of Allied Motion, a professional modern-dance company.
She has also studied under the internationally acclaimed dance artist, Finis Jhung, at the Broadway Dance Center in New York City.
As an award-winning choreographer, Miller has studied, choreographed and performed at the American College Dance Festival (ACDF) for three years. ACDF provides the opportunity for students and faculty to have their dance works adjudicated by a panel of nationally-recognized dance professionals, and features some of the nations best dancers.
Andrea’s School of Dance opened in September 1992 by owner/artistic director, Andrea McGraw. Classes available include Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Lyrical and Hip-Hop. Ballet and Tap classes are offered to students beginning at age four. Children of all abilities are accepted.
Students of Andrea’s School of Dance perform in many local shows and entertain at special events throughout Blair County, including Northern Blair County Relay for Life and the Bellwood-Antis Farm Show.
The competitive teams also travel to several regional dance/talent competitions in Pittsburgh and Virginia, where they have been awarded medal standings and have received many special judges awards.
