A Tyrone area man was the victim of a burglary and theft in July in Warriors Mark Township.
Someone entered a barn belonging to Nelson Sangrey and removed numerous items valued at approximately $455 and caused $200 in damage.

State police investigated a criminal mischief accident in Antis Township on July 25 between 2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.
A vehicle belonging to Betty Levetta Amrhein of Tyrone was damaged along Hollen Road about four-tenths of a mile from Moser Road.
Someone struck the windshield of the victim’s car with an unknown object causing $400 in damage.

A Bellwood man and a Tipton teenager were involved in a two-vehicle accident along Stadium Drive in front of Bellwood-Antis High School on July 27 at 2 p.m.
A car driven by 72-year-old Robert l. Kruis pulled out from a private driveway directly into the path of a car driven by 18-year-old Alycia O’Donald of Tipton. Kruis was wearing a seat belt and his airbag deployed. He was not hurt. O’Donald was wearing a seat belt and her vehicle had no airbag. She did suffer injuries. Police said Kruis was cited but did not specify any offenses in their release. Kruis’ car had serious damage while O’Donald’s vehicle suffered moderate damage.

A theft occurred at Hines Equipment on State Route 1001 in Antis Township sometime between July 30 and Aug. 1.
Police said someone stole a GR2100 Kubota lawn tractor, orange in color with a value of $8,300.

A 22-year-old Altoona man was involved in a one-vehicle accident on State Route 4019 near Sandbank Road in Antis Township on Aug. 2 at 3 a.m.
Christopher Hoffner was traveling north and failed to negotiate a left curve and traveled off the roadway and struck a tree.
Hoffner was wearing a seat belt and police did not indicate any injuries. They did say Hoffner was cited for several summary vehicle code violations.

Two Tyrone men were involved in a two-vehicle accident on State Route 764 at the intersection of T-577 in Antis Township on Aug. 5 at 4:28.
Nineteen-year-old John M. Smith was stopped temporarily on the road. His car was struck in the rear by a pickup truck driven by 58-year-old Gibbs A. Parrish.
Both Smith and Parrish were wearing seat belts and were not injured. Police said Parrish was to be charged with a vehicle code violation.

A Warriors Mark man discovered a theft at his residence along Pennington Road in Warriors Mark Township on Aug. 7 at 4 p.m.
The victim, 59-year-old Donald Cherry, discovered rifles missing from his residence. Huntingdon-based state police said the value of the weapons was undetermined and their investigation is continuing.

A 44-year-old Tipton man was arrested on DUI charges after an incident on State Route 4027 (old Route 220) near the Grazierville Bridge in Snyder Township on Aug. 9 at 10:45 p.m.
Douglas E. Sheasley was arrested for DUI after being stopped for a traffic violation. As of Wednesday, charges were pending at Magisterial District Judge Fred Miller’s office.
