Railfest 2005 is coming to Tyrone, and area residents are encouraged to come join the celebration of Railfest with the Tyrone Merchants Association, Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce, along with other area organizations, groups and clubs.
Mark the calendars for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 23, 24 and 25 for Railfest 2005.
“All Aboard Tyrone” on Friday in the City Hotel Park where everyone will start this exciting weekend in Tyrone with some live entertainment for the entire family. However, that’s just the beginning.
Individuals can join the festivities on Saturday and Sunday for two days filled with festival-like atmosphere of shopping, entertainment, crafts, various food vendors, games and activities along with area merchants’ weekend sales.
Amtrak will be stopping in Tyrone with approximately 3,000 passengers throughout the Railfest weekend. The excursions will be from Pittsburgh and Johnstown with stops in Tyrone on Saturday at 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. and on Sunday at 11:30 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
