The 22nd annual Farm/City Day is fast-approaching, and Tyrone Rotary Club members invite the entire community to come out to Reservoir Park from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday to enjoy a fun-filled day.
The event is free and open to the public and will be held rain or shine.
An assortment of crafters and vendors will set up booths as well as non-profit organizations will sell items as a fundraiser. There will also be a bake sale and other food items available for purchase.
Local fire company trucks are scheduled to be on display as well as farm equipment. Hay rides will be available and live entertainment will be on hand throughout the day.
For the kids, there will be a bouncy fun house and a live petting zoo.
A new 2005 Farm/City Day T-shirt is also available for purchase.
The first Rotary Farm/City Day was held in 1984 in a one-block area of downtown Tyrone. Everyone was in close proximity which made it very easy for young and old alike to get to see everything including friends, displays and entertainment.
The new Farm/City Day arrangement at Reservoir Park is meant to provide the benefits of those early years with some extra space and the beauty of a September day at the park.
Because of the improved booth arrangement, all traffic must enter the park from Reservoir Drive.
Exhibitor vehicles may also be parked nearby after setup in a designated area.
