It’s time once again for Harvestfest at DelGrosso’s Amusement Park. The event will be held this weekend with entertainment, food, crafts and fun for all.
Shopping will start at 10 a.m. and rides open at 11 a.m. Admission to the event is $4, which includes all-day rides. Children three-years-old and under get in for free.
Free parking will be available in the main DelGrosso’s Amusement Park lot. Through the cooperation of PPG Industries and the PPG Tipton Works Employee Association, additional parking will be available in the field off of Tipton Road for a fee of $3. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Hollidaysburg area Boy Scouts.
The weekend will be filled with entertainment and a wide variety of foods for everyone.
The Jasmine Morgan Show will be presented on the main stage on Saturday at 3 and 6 p.m.
On Sunday, Mick and the Mystics will perform at 3 and 6 p.m. on the main stage.
Dennie Huber, magician and balloon artist will appear on Murf’s stage at 1 and 5 p.m. both days.
Also appearing Saturday and Sunday will be Moo Beams singing Moo Wop. Performances will be at the gift shop stage at 1, 2:30 and 5 p.m.
Other entertainment includes a Civil War encampment reenactment which will occur daily at 1:30, 3 and 4:30 p.m. There will also be a petting zoo. Individuals will be able to see the classics on Sunday. The Allegheny Mountain Region Antique Automobile Club of America will be at the park.
Tyrone Community Players will be helping children decorate pumpkins in the pavilion near Kid’s Kingdom. They will also have raffle tickets on sale for four pieces of jewelry, which will be on display throughout the weekend.
The Harvestfest menu includes many treats for the entire family. There will be freshly dipped caramel apples, fudge, hand-dipped ice cream cones, hot sausage sandwiches, French fries, barbecued chicken dinner, hamburgers and hot dogs with sauerkraut, baked goods and desserts, chicken fingers, pierogi and kielbasa with sauerkraut, barbecued beef and pork sandwiches, soup in a bread bowl, open kettle ham and bean soup, old-fashioned kettle popcorn, Pepsi products, funnel cakes, fudge puppies, ham barbecue, meatball sandwiches, chili, sloppy joes, blooming onions, French fried sweet potatoes, homemade apple dumplings, fresh apple butter, apple cider, gourmet fudge, root beer floats and much more.
DelGrosso’s pizza, ice cream, cotton candy and nachos will also be available.
The Third Presbyterian Church will serve barbecued chicken dinners in shed 4A.
Leidig’s Farm Market will have fresh fruits and vegetables available, along with flowers.
Corporate hosts for this weekend’s events include Pacifico Bakery, Pepsi, Lee Food Service and Kunzler.
