According to Tyrone Salvation Army Service Unit representative, Bob Maser, volunteers will begin accepting applications for Christmas baskets and toys on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, starting October 31 and finishing November 19.
Applications will be taken at the Tyrone Social Center across from the Joshua House from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Maser said that interested individuals must bring proof of all bills and also proof of all income.
He added that if an individual comes in to sign up and does not have all the necessary paper work, they will be asked to come back another day.
The Salvation Army will be assisting people from the Warriors Mark, Tyrone and Bellwood areas.
Also, the Tyrone Salvation Army Service Unit will be giving out free coats, hats and other warm items on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, starting November 1 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the G & R Excavating building located on Pennsylvania Avenue across from the former IGA building.
The last day for coats and other warm items will be Thursday, November 18.
