William Harrison Reeder, Jr., 77, of Vail died Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at 9:36 p.m. at Altoona Center for Nursing Care.
He was born November 7, 1928 in Birmingham, a son a William H. Sr. and Helen (Colbert) Reeder. On September 19, 1950 in Tyrone he married Catherine R. Irvin.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, three daughters: Pam Jackson and husband Tim, Christine Postreich and husband Charles and Marianne Barony and husband Norman, all of Tyrone. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, 11 great-granchildren and a sister, Lois Hyde, a resident at Epworth Manor, Tyrone.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and John and a sister Helen Louise Miller.
Mr. Reeder retired in 1992 as a Maintenance Supervisor for Grier School, Birmingham, following 35 years service. He was a member of the Bald Eagle Fire Company.
He loved being with his family and fishing.
Funeral services will be held at Feller Memorial Home on Sunday, January 15, 2006 at 1 p.m. with Mr. Reeder’s nephew Rev. Charles Baughman officiating. Burial will be at Bald Eagle Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
