Clifford Hoover, age 90, of 770 South Hanover St., Carlisle (Chapel Pointe) died March 4, 2006 at his residence.
He was born October 22, 1915 in Duncansville, the son of Elda (Hileman) and Alvin Hoover.
On September 4, 1937 in Birmingham he was married by Rev. Horace Hoover to Elizabeth Trimble, who survives.
He is survived by his wife and one brother, Lester Hoover of Temporance, Michigan.
He was a 1933 graduate of Petersburg Vocational High School. He had served in the United States Navy for two and a half years as an aviation metalsmith. He had been a self employed builder and was manager of Camp Kanestake in Spruce Creek from 1964 to 1978, retiring in 1978.
He was a member of the Bald Eagle Christian Missionary Church, The Blaine Sportsmen Club, The National Rifle Assoc. and the National Wild Turkey Federation. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Funeral services will be held March 7, 2006 at 1 p.m. at the Bruce E. Cox Funeral Home, Warriors Mark with Rev. Sidney Harris officiating. Place of burial will be Seven Stars Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from noon until the time of services at 1 p.m. There will be no viewing.
