Margaret Louise Woomer, 82, of RD 3, Box 151, Tyrone, died at 7:54 a.m. on Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at the Altoona Center for Nursing Care.
She was born April 9, 1924 at Philipsburg, PA, a daughter of George Nelson and Margaret Kathryn (Wills) Gill. She was married May 27, 1944 to Henry F. Woomer who died March 1, 1967.
She is survived by a sister Janet Marie Williams of Tyrone and three nieces and four nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Henry F. Woomer, Jr., a sister Flo Alexander and brother Charles Gill.
She was a member of the Tyrone Alliance Church and was always fond of cooking and baking. She retired as an inspector at Chicago Rivet & Machine Co., Tyrone after 18 and a half years service.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 7, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, with Rev. Tim Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Baughman Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
