The newly renovated Tyrone Community Pool was open for the Memorial Day weekend and is geared up for the official opening for the season on June 6.
The pool at Reservoir Park has undergone major renovations during the last several months. Tyrone Borough Manager Sharon Dannaway said “it went fabulously” in reference to the pool being open for the Memorial Day weekend.
Dannaway said the renovations with the exception of the completion of the baby pool were in place for the holiday weekend. She said the baby pool would be ready for the June 6 official opening of the pool. The nearly $500,000 project included rehabilitation of the main pool and a new facility for the children’s pool area.
