The Tyrone American Legion Post No. 281 and the VFW Anderson-Denny Post No. 4559 held joint memorial services on Sunday, May 28 and Monday, May 29.
During the memorial services at Soldier’s Park, the Tyrone American Legion honored members with 60 years consecutive membership and members with 50 consecutive years.
Years of service awards presented for consecutive service: awarded posthumously for 60 years of service were: John V. Bowser, Dr. Richard W. McClain, Glenn H. Mogle, Lee W. Nearhoof and Boyd W. Smith; 50 years: Aldus E. Shuey, K. Talmadge Cupp, William R. Hunter, Gene A. Johnson and Calvin W. Miller and 60 years: Budd Barner, David J. Black, Guy V. Burkholder, Steve M. Cushion, Tony J. Geraci, Clarence C. Hoover, James W. Hoover, Daniel G. Irvin, Kenneth W. Irvin, Robert M. Keatley, Primo V. Lusardi, Charles \”Tim\” McFarland, Donald C. McClellan, Guy V. Mogle, Edward L. Mulhollan, James W. Morrisey, James M. Schmidt, Robert J. \”Pappy\” Tennis and Robert W. Reinschmidt.
