A 25-year-old Smith Hill woman, Amber R. Dick, suffered moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident on State Route 4023 in Snyder Township, near the Clearfield County line.
Police said Dick was traveling south on the road and while attempting to negotiate a right turn, traveled off the road, to the right onto the west berm. Dick’s vehicle lost control and traveled across the road and struck the east embankment.
After striking the embankment, Dick’s vehicle rolled onto its roof and came to a rest, blocking the northbound lane of travel. Dick was wearing a seat belt. Her vehicle had moderate damage.

A rural Tyrone man escaped injury in a one-vehicle accident that happened at the intersection of North 2nd Street and River Road in the village of Fostoria in Antis Township on Thursday at 3:05 a.m.
Police said 20-year-old Brian Fouse Jones was northbound on N. 2nd Street when his car failed to negotiate a right turn onto River Road. In turning right, the car overshot the road and ran over the railroad tracks just north of the road surface, resulting in significant front-end damage and undercarriage damage. No damage to the railroad tracks could be detected.
Police said Jones told them that he “gunned it” after stopping for a stop sign posted at the intersection. The car had to be winched off the railroad tracks and towed away from the scene. Jones will be cited for failing to drive his vehicle at a safe speed.
