Ministry president and founder, Bill Ellenberger of Faithful Path, recently traveled through the Carolinas, Virginia, Georgia and Florida during April and May visiting with seminary presidents, pastors and lay-leaders of church.
During these visits with seminary presidents and vice-presidents, Ellenberger was invited by two seminaries, Asbury Seminary, Orlando, Florida and Reform Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC, to return next academic school year to speak as a chapel and workshop speaker to the seminary students. He also met with numerous pastors discussing church issues and giving counsel to their needs and trends in the US Church today.
Faithful Path’s website can be found at: www.faithfulpath.com.
Faithful Path is a national faith-based ministry in Tyrone.
The key goals are:
1. Work with the church lay-leadership of churches who do not have a pastor. To help them reevaluate who they are as a body of believers, who they are trying to reach in their community. Then create a description of the ideal spiritual leader, teacher, pastor, who would help them enhance their effort. Finally, create a job description that would help them identify who would be that person.
2. Speak to students of seminaries, Bible colleges, universities, and Bible institutes on what to expect as a pastoral candidate.
3. Mentor pastors, encouraging and praying for them.
Ellenberger writes “Walking in the Right Direction”, a column appearing exclusively in The Daily Herald every other Tuesday.
