Clarence Lee Bradigan, 84, formerly of Shamokin and residing with his son and daughter-in-law at 425 W. 17th St., Tyrone, died Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at the Tyrone Hospital E.R.
He was born November 24, 1921 at Shamokin a son of Levi and Mercy (Deitz) Bradigan.
He was married October 5, 1953 at Elkton, Md. to Eleanor S. Varner who died May 14, 2006.
He is survived by three sons: Robert C. Bradigan (Marybeth) of Philadelphia, Tracey R. Bradigan of Philadelphia and Randall S. Bradigan (Annette) of Tyrone; four grandchildren: Christopher and Salena Bradigan of Tyrone and Josh and Kelly Bradigan of Philadelphia; two brothers: Jim Bradigan of Boyertown and Gus Bradigan of Phoenixville and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister Ellen and brothers Leon and Fred.
He was a WWII veteran serving in the Army Air Force in the European Theatre with two bronze stars.
Clarence was a great father and an even better grandfather. He was always there for his family and grandchildren, encouraging and supporting in any way he could.
He was fond of living in Philadelphia and would read the Philadelphia Inquirer every day.
He is now in a much better place and is looking out for all who loved him.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 19, 2006 at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone at 3:30 p.m. where friends will be received from 2 to 3:30 p.m. before services.
Contributions in his memory may be made to the Blazing Arrow Hook and Ladder Co., 1216 Blair Ave., Tyrone.
