The Tyrone Junior High girls opened the junior high basketball season against Roosevelt Tuesday afternoon.
The outcome was not in Tyrone's favor but it wasn't from lack of effort.
Tyrone was led by Ariane Miller and Casey Baird with five and six points respectively.
Roosevelt scored early and often to notch a 65-13 victory. The Lady Roughriders dominated every phase of the game.
The Lady Eagles have a week off to regroup before traveling to Bellefonte next Tuesday for a 4 p.m. contest.
The Tyrone "B" team also took a loss 22-4 with Ivy Tangen and Baird scoring for Tyrone.
