Bhe women of Trinity Episcopal Church invite the public to join them for their third annual Christmas High Tea set for Saturday, December 2 at 4 p.m.
Trinity Episcopal Church is located on Washington Avenue and Ninth Street, Tyrone.
The public is encouraged to usher in the holiday season while visiting with friends and enjoying the scrumptious sweets and tea sandwiches prepared by the women of the church.
Dress up if you like; wear a hat to feel special for a magical afternoon.
Mary Lauver will once again be entertaining with her inspiring harp music.
Also, one of the last of beloved local artist Andy Moore’s water colors “Purple Iris” will be raffled and awarded at the tea as a special feature.
The gorgeous painting, 15 inches by 25 inches, will be offered in a raffle at $5 for each chance.
“Purple Iris” was on display at the Tyrone Hospital last winter and was left to the church by Andy to use as a fundraiser.
Tickets for the tea are $10 each. Seating is limited, so please make reservations early by calling Honey Wilson at 684-2055. Individuals may mail their reservations and checks to Honey at 1253 Lincoln Avenue, Tyrone.
Chances for the painting may be obtained from any church member or by calling Honey as well.
The tea was so popular last year that the tickets were completely sold out, so hurry for reservations.
