The children and staff of the Park Avenue Playground program recently held their first ever walk-a-thon. According to the event organizers Bree Gurekovich and Stacy Shaffer, the kids did wonderful and really enjoyed themselves. The children left the Park Avenue Playground at 9 a.m. and returned at noon. The children walked three-and-a-half miles round trip. When they arrived at Reservior Park the children had time to play and then had a snack. Half of the money raised will benefit the playground program and half will benefit the children’s room at the Tyrone-Snyder Public Library. Today, they will be having a big presentation, to donate half of the money to the library. (Courtesy photo)
