Edward A. Jackson, Sr. of 1772 Centerline Road, Warriors Mark, went to be with the Lord on Nov. 13, 2006.
He was born Oct. 22, 1938, in Savannah, IL, the son of Allen S. Jackson and the late Frances E. (Prendergast) Forwood. He married Deborah (Steele) McMahon on March 23, 1996, in Tyrone.
Surviving are his wife, three daughters: Nancy Fisher and husband Dr. Todd Fisher of Hummelstown, Patricia Gorman and husband Joseph of Denver, NC and Judith Jackson, Harrisburg; two sons: Edward A. Jackson, Jr. and wife Jane of East Ryegate, VT, Andrew A. Jackson and wife Robin of Gap; two step-daughters, Wendy LeCrone and husband Donald of Huntingdon and Heather Yi and husband In Sok of Denver, Co; 12 grandchildren and a great grandchild.
Also surviving are two sisters: Arlene Forwood of Florida and Sharon Racine and husband John of Boothwyn.
He retired in 1988 from Unysis Corporation as a quality control inspector following 13 years of service. He had been owner operator of E. J. Angus Farm, Petersburg for five years and also retired from the State College School District after 10 years service.
Mr. Jackson was a member of the Water Street Evangelical Church, the American Angus Association, the Antique Auto Club and the Nittany Valley Track Club.
Ed was a devoted husband and father and was active in his church as an elder and council member. He enjoyed hunting, old cars and had a great appreciation for music and dance. Also, he was a competitive runner and always enjoyed the many new friends on his life journey.
Funeral services for Edward A. Jackson will be held at the Feller Memorial Home on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2006 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Bruce Boyles officiating. Interment will be at the Mooresville Cemetery, Petersburg. Friends will be received at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
