The Tyrone Junior High boys traveled to Bald Eagle Area on Monday for the second meeting between the two teams, and came away with a pair of wins again.
In the eighth grade contest, the Golden Eagles employed a full court press for most of the game. They came away with a 41-29 victory which wasn\’t as close as the final score would indicate.
Rich Stever paced the Eagles with 10 points, followed by Jimmy Ferguson and Richard Crabtree with seven points each There were four other Eagles then with tallies.
The win raised there season record to 12-5
In the late game, the Tyrone ninth graders started slowly. They were down by three with a score of 10-7 at the end of the first quarter.
The Little Eagles scored 16 in the second to forge ahead for good with a score of 23-14 for the half time lead.
It was pretty even from there with Tyrone tacking on 13 in the second half to BEA\’s 14 for a 36-28 final score.
Andy Brokenshire again lead all scoring with 11 points. He was followed by Stever\’s eight points, Levi Reihart\’s seven points, and Jordan Taylor\’s six points.
The victory brought Tyrone’s season record to 13-4
