Valentine’s Day dance
A Valentine’s Day dance will be held Saturday, February 10 at the Tyrone American Legion from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Doors open at 8 p.m. Music will be provided by Dover MIllionaires ROad Show. Tickets will be sold at the door. Sponsored by the Sons of the American Legion.

Just Desserts
Just Desserts the second Annual Valentines Day Nightclub will be held Saturday, February 10 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Music for your dancing and listening pleasure provided by: Mick and Terri Dennis. Enjoy a sumptuous array of home made desserts created by members of the TCP. BYOB. Seating is limited and reservations required. Phone 684-ART2 for additional information and reservations.

Collecting donations for CPHS
Cub Scout Pack 320 will be collecting donations of pet food items, litter, and cleaning supplies (detergent, bleach, etc.), as a community service project to benefit the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society through Feb. 10. A donation box will be available at Martin\’s Food Store, Bellemeade location during this time. For additional information contact Harry Mogle at 684-4263.

Chocolate Festival
The Tyrone Church of the Brethren, on the corner of Adams and 18th street, is having a Chocolate Festival from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, February 11 to raise money for Disaster Relief ministries.
Admission is free for those who want to purchase treats to eat in or take out, bid on the Silent Auction for chocolate gift baskets, or shop in the Sweetheart Sweet Shoppe to buy a gift for your sweetie. Several of the churches bakers and confectioners will be competing in a Chocolate Tasting Competition. To be involved in the tasting and judging of entries a ticket must be purchased for a small fee. Come help raise money for Disaster Relief efforts and enjoy the fellowship that surrounds this event. Call the church for details 684-4940.

S.V. 4-H
The Sinking Valley 4-H club will meet on Monday, February 12 at 7 p.m. at the Sinking Valley Presbyterian Church. The club is open to children and teens ages eight to 18.

Know your numbers
Mary Ellen Glass, RN from Omni Home Health Care, will be at the Pennsylvania House, 2 W. 11th Street, on Monday, February 12 at 10 a.m. to discuss the signifigance of keeping track of the important numbers in your life – blood pressure, glucose, pulse and blood oxygen.
After the discussion you will have an opportunity to have all four numbers checked. Please use on street parking.
