Reports from Hollidaysburg State Police
SR 865 in Antis Township was the scene of a hit and run crash on February 17.
Hollidaysburg State Police report that a 1989 Ford Ranger, owned by Sam Lloyd of Fallentimber, was located along SR 865, where it became disabled during a one vehicle crash. For unknown reasons, the vehicle, which was southbound crossed the northbound lane and traveled down a small embankment prior to impacting a tree and stopping against the tree at final rest.
The operator of the vehicle fled the scene prior to police arrival.

SR 4019 in Antis Township was the scene of an accident on February 18.
Hollidaysburg State Police report that Robert Allen Grassmyer, age 47, of Altoona was traveling south at the above location and went off the roadway into a snow bank. As Troopers arrived on scene, Grassmyer got out of the vehicle and fled into the woods west of the roadway.
A foot pursuit ensued, and Grassmyer was apprehended after a short chase. Grassmyer was taken into custody and was transported to Bon Secours Hospital for a blood test to determine his blood alcohol level. Grassmyer had a blood alcohol level that was well above the legal limit.
Grassmyer was arrested for DUI, Hit and Run, Driving Under Suspension, Fleeing and Eluding Police, and several other traffic violations.
Charges will be filed at the office of District Judge Fred Miller.

Hollidaysburg State Police report a hit and run accident on SR 220 north and SR 350 in Snyder Township February 19.
Shannon Anthony, age 35, of Tyrone was north bound on SR 220. An unknown truck tractor-trailer passed her heading south bound on SR 220. A piece of ice came through the right side of Anthony’s windshield. Anthony was not injured. Passenger Machelle Seiner, age 37, of Tyrone was struck in the head and taken to the Tyrone Hospital for treatment. Another passenger, Bonna Seiner, age 56, of Tyrone, was not injured.
The tractor-trailer may have been blue and orange in color and had a box trailer.

SR 1013 in Sinking Valley, Tyrone Township was the scene of a two car accident on February 19.
Hollidaysburg State Police report that Beth Conroy, age 22, of RD 3 Altoona was traveling south. John Holes, age 61, of RD 3 Altoona was traveling north. Conroy crossed into the north bound lane and struck Holes head-on. Both vehicles came to rest on the roadway. Both vehicles sustained major damage.
Both Conroy and Holes wore seatbelts and had airbags deployed. Both were transported by ambulance to Altoona Hospital for treatment of injuries.
Conroy will be cited for a traffic violation.
