Mary Jane O’Rourke, age 73, a longtime guest at Epworth Manor, Tyrone, died Monday, March 19, 2007 at 7:25 a.m. at Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus.
She was born June 14, 1933 at Altoona, the daughter of John W. and Marjorie DeLong Bayer Sr.
She is survived by one son, Stephen T. O’Rourke and wife Donna of Houston, Tx. and a daughter, Kathleen, wife of Charles Wolfe of Tyrone and nine grandchildren.
Also surviving is one brother, Joseph Bayer of Bald Eagle and three sisters, Nancy Wilt and Elizabeth, wife of Harold Beringer, of Tyrone and Marjorie Barner of Harrisburg.
She was a graduate of Tyrone High School class of 1951. She retired in 1963 on disability from the accounting department of Penn State University and had formerly been employed as a bookkeeper for Burley Brothers. She had attended church at Epworth Manor.
Friends may call at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc. on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 from 7 to 9 p.m.
A memorial service will be held at a time to be announced.
