Kathryn K. Kendrick, 95, formerly of Baltimore, MD and a resident of Epworth Manor, Tyrone, went to be with her Lord at 12:30 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2007 at the Manor.
She was born June 10, 1911 at Rayland, Ohio a daughter of John and Mary (Duda) Letusick.
She was married April 6, 1932 to John Thomas Kendrick who died July 8, 1964.
She is survived by two sisters, Mary Hensley of Finleyville, PA and Josephine Hockenberry (Jesse) of Epworth Manor, Tyrone, a brother Louis Letusick (Lilly) of Egg Harbor Township, NJ, a niece Helen Pressler (John) of Port Matilda, PA, and a nephew Jesse Hockenberry, Jr. (Terrie) of Baltimore. There are several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five sisters, three brothers, and an infant niece, Barbara Hockenberry.
She was a longtime member of the Violetville United Methodist Church in Baltimore, MD and enjoyed flower gardening and her Senior Citizens Group in Baltimore.
She was a well-loved wife, sister and aunt and will be missed by many.
She was employed for many years as a retail clerk at the original Montgomery Ward Store in Baltimore, MD.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at 1 p.m. at the Epworth Manor Personal Care Chapel, Tyrone with Rev. Mark Liller officiating. Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Baltimore, MD.
Friends will be received at the Personal Care Chapel one hour before the service Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assn., Greater Pennsylvania Chapter, 3544 North Progress Avenue, Suite 205, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
