Mrs. YongHui ‘Jill’ Papi, age 63, of RR 5, Woodland Manor, Tyrone died Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at her home following a long illness. She was born February 12, 1944 in Seoul, South Korea, the daughter of Myong Woo Lee and Hon Bong Hee and has been living in the United States for 40 years. She was married to Lawrence Papi at the consulate in Korea and on September 26, 1966 they were again married at Our Lady of Angels Church in Brooklyn, NY.
She is survived by her husband and three sons, Lawrence L. Papi of Harrisburg, Andrew Papi of Tipton and Daniel Papi of Altoona; three granddaughters, Amber, Olivia and Lauren and many brothers and sisters, all living in South Korea.
Her father preceded her in death.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bellwood. She had been employed at Penn State University. She enjoyed gardening, nature and the outdoors, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Funeral service for Mrs. Papi will be Thursday, May 3, 2007 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Bellwood, with Father David Roesch officiating. Interment will be in Logan Valley Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc. from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday.
