The Park Avenue Playground is scheduled for its annual summer program, starting June 16 and ending August 22.
The program is held from Monday through Friday each week.
Bree Gurekovich, Director, hopes that the residents of Tyrone will get out to Park Avenue to experience what the program is all about.
Each day, children will engage in activities at the playground, create crafts and participate in gross motor activities (new item in program).
This year, the program has a different theme each week. The themes will be talked about each week and then activities will abide by the new theme. This will keep the children from repeating the same activities each week and expect something fresh and exciting to look forward to each day.
Here are a few rules that Park Avenue Playground requires:
• It is our goal to provide a safe, healthy environment for children to play
• Programs are designed for elementary-aged children
• Children five and under must be accompanied by an adult
• Children’s behavior is the responsibility of their parent or guardian
• No tobacco or intoxicating substances are permitted in the playground area
• No weapons of any type are permitted in the playground area
• No obscene language or gestures will be tolerated. Please keep all refuse in designated containers
• No glass is allowed inside playground area
• Do no abuse playground equipment
• Playground workers have jurisdiction over playground area
