From staff reports
For many years State Representative Jerry A. Stern served on the House of Representatives Appropriations Committee, the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee, Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee and numerous other sub committees, including the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home Advisory Council.
After last year’s elections he decided to become more involved in the direction of the Republican agenda in Harrisburg and ran for office in the Republican Caucus. Rep. Stern is now the secretary of the caucus, and will be very involved in the direction of the state Republican effort and the Republican Caucus.
The Stern for Assembly Committee is sponsoring a spaghetti dinner on Thursday, May 31 at the Excelsior Fire Hall, Bellwood. The dinner will enable constituents to meet with Rep. Stern as he serves spaghetti and discusses the community’s interests and concerns about the Commonwealth and the 80th Legislative District and raise a few dollars for the ongoing and never ending fundraising aspect of the job.
