The Tyrone-Snyder Public Library participated in the “One Book Blair County” read that took place in April. The book selected for this year’s read was Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. Teens were encouraged to participate by picking up a free paperback copy of Fahrenheit 451 and then checking out another young adult book from their local library. They then could fill out a raffle ticket for three gift certificates to be given away by each Blair County library. Local winners were Charles Langley, $50 gift certificate to Logan Valley Mall; Danica Mazzotta, $25 gift certificate to Logan Valley Mall and Amanda Clark, $25 gift certificate to Barnes & Noble.
