State Representatives Jerry Stern and Mike Fleck donated 25 American flags to Tyrone Flag Project Committee representatives George Bonsell Jr. and Bob Nein. There are about 80 flags put up downtown for Veteran’s Day, and some of the flags needed to be replaced because of deterioration. The flags will go up the Sunday before Veteran’s Day, and they will display proudly for two weeks. Rep. Stern and Fleck both stated that they are always willing to help out the citizens and volunteers, and they appreciate these gentlemen pursuing this project to display the flags. It’s always nice to see Tyrone displaying the flag proudly and to see our small town so patriotic, and the volunteers willing to do what they do every year.
