The Tyrone girls varsity volleyball team dropped it’s first match to visiting Huntingdon in action Wednesday evening.
Tyrone coached by first year coach, Jim Cushion, was just overmatched in their first contest. Huntingdon dominated the Lady Eagles with overpowering serves by Bethany Ledford and timely spikes by Alix Sellers.
The final scores were Huntingdon 25-7, 25-7, and 25-4.
Tyrone had a few bright spots with Kristen Fry accumulating seven digs and Paris Harden tallying five service points.
Tyrone’s Junior Varsity team dropped a two game match also, with Ariane Miller lead the Lady Eagle JV’s with seven service points. The final in the JV match was 25-9 and 25-4.
Tyrone is home against Bald Eagle Area next Tuesday.
