DelGrosso’s Amusement Park has been open on weekends but with school winding down and the weather heating up, the park will open seven days a week beginning Wednesday, June 4.
The park’s summer schedule is packed with a variety of activities for area residents and guests throughout the entire summer.
The picnic grounds open at 8 a.m. and rides open at 11 a.m.
One upcoming event is the fourth annual Blair Senior Services Day on Friday, June 13.
Everyone is invited to bring the entire family to enjoy a DelGrosso’s chicken barbecue luncheon, complete with Murf’s famous potato salad.
Lunch will be served at the park between noon and 1 p.m.
While at the park enjoying lunch, why not take advantage of DelGrosso’s “double off” coupon discount that runs through June. Take some time to enjoy the many different amusement park ride, or try a round of golf on DelGrosso’s Championship miniature golf course.
For those who are unable to make it to the park that day, take-out meals will be available at Blair Senior Services’ Production Kitchen, 1815 Ninth Avenue, Altoona from 4 to 5:30 p.m.
Tickets are $7 and must be purchased in advance. Interested individuals can pick up tickets at all Senior Community Centers. The purchase deadline is Friday, June 6.
All proceeds from Blair Senior Services Day will be used to support programs that help older Blair County residents age with dignity and independence.
