On March 6, a new look came into Bellwood on Main Street: Mane Image. The reasonable prices in which people can afford is what Mane Image is all about.
Sheila Corle, owner and hairstylist at Mane Image, offers a hairstyling salon where people can relax, get their haircut, and have a cup of coffee during their appointment.
“Most salons have separated prices for each cut,” Corle stated. “For example, some places choose to turn a $45 haircut into a $90 trip with the extra coloring, extensions, and the haircut itself. We keep it simple and include everything in one cut. There are no hidden prices here at Mane Image, what you see is what you get.”
Shannon Runkle is Corle’s assistant at Mane Image. The two have 11 years of hairstyling experience between them, giving them the knowledge of how to run this new salon in town.
Corle has cut hair since she was 12 years old. She began styling her mother’s hair, and her mother has yet to see another hairstylist. Corle then pursued her goal of being a hairstylist when she attended Paul Mitchell’s Hair Company, and then taught at Altoona Beauty School for five years.
“I love styling hair, plain and simple,” Corle said. “Mane Image is a place that will offer good services at fair prices for all customers. It is also a place for people to relax, hang out, and have a good time. A lot of salons are uptight and in a rush, but we want a positive vibe running through our salon so that everyone is happy with their visit.”
Mane Image offers some styles that other places do not, such as Razor-cutting and specialized coloring. They also do facial waxing, manicure and pedicure, and every normal hair-care service.
