With the top seeded and undefeated Tyrone Golden Eagles’ semifinal District 6-AA contest against Central Cambria, set for this Friday night at Gray-Veterans Memorial Field, the Tyrone fire companies are helping the Tyrone football team to get some extra practice time by lighting the practice field for evening practices. The Tyrone Golden Eagles certainly know the value of team work -everybody working together for a common goal. With the practice moved to the soccer field because of the rain that has fallen over the last several days, the team and coaching staff is able to get in the practice thanks to the thoughtfulness and generosity of the Blazing Arrow Hook and Ladder Company, who provided their ladder truck, on the down side of the field (left), and the Neptune Fire Company Number One with their Engine Truck, on the hill side of the field (right), who have banded together to help the Tyrone football team finish their practice sessions, without being totally in the dark. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. (The Daily Herald/Bob Miller)
