The monthly Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce breakfast is scheduled for Thursday, December 13 beginning at 7:30 a.m. at Joe’s Place.
The speaker for the breakfast is scheduled to be Joshua Framel, Project Developer for Gamesa Energy USA.
Gamesa Energy is a wind power development and manufacturing company with its U.S. headquarters located in Philadelphia.
The company built its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Ebensburg, Cambria County, where the windmill components that Pennsylvanians assemble are used locally and shipped across the country and around the world.
Locally, Gamesa is trying to develop the Sandy Ridge Wind Farm, a 25 windmill project divided between Snyder Township, Blair County and Taylor Township, Centre County. The project would generate 50MW of electricity, or enough to power approximately 15,000 homes.
