The members of the Tyrone junior high track team finished off their season at the District 6 meet at Mansion Park on Thursday May 8, 2008.
Charles Wilson jumped 5-2 in the high jump which earned him a second place medal. Nick Patton placed second in the 200 meter with a time of 24.53 and forth place in the 100 meter with a time of 12.11.
Other district qualifiers for the boys team were: Cortland Pannebaker in the 800, 1600, and 3200 meter. Christian Getz in the 100 meter, 400 meter relay and the 110 meter hurdles. Also running the 400 meter relay were John Friday, Marcus Wagner, and Nick Patton. John Guy ran in the 110 meter hurdles. Devon Wiser, Adam Flick, Hayden Zook,and Richard Crabtree ran in the 3200 meter relay.
John Friday, Devon Wiser, Marcus Wagner, and Charles Wilson ran in the 1600 meter relay.
Qualifiers from the girls team were Brittany Friday 100 meter hurdles and 1600 relay, Lindsey Emigh Long Jump and 400 meter relay. Jordon Reese and Denea Gummo 400 meter relay. Aylissa Brisbin, Alivia Tangen and Libby Black 1600 meter relay.
