The Tyrone boys swim team (6-0) put their sixth straight victory of the season in the books with a solid 83-40 triumph over Ligonier Valley at the Tyrone Area Senior/Middle High School pool on Monday evening.
Dustin Elder (200 freestyle and 100 butterfly), Ethan Nulton (500 freestyle and 100 backstroke) and Allen Hosko (200 IM and 100 breaststroke) each won a pair of individual events to lead the way for the victorious Golden Eagles. Ian McGregor won the 50 freestyle race. Ben Feller, Hosko, Elder and Rick Day teamed up to win the 200 medley relay and Grant Gonder, McGregor, Evan Lewis and Nulton won the 200 freestyle relay.
On the girls side, Kelly Pearson was a double winner with victories in both the 200 IM and 100 backstroke, but the Ligonier Valley girls won the meet 96-70 to drop the Lady Eagles record to 2-3-1.
Salena Bradigan won the 100 butterfly for the Tyrone girls, Chynna Beisel took the 500 freestyle and the girls relay team of Pearson, Christina Brisbin, Bradigan and Beisel won the 200 medley relay.
The Tyrone swim teams are back in action on Wednesday when they host Altoona at 6 p.m.
