There wasn’t a protest or sit-in this Tuesday morning in front of the Tyrone Municipal Building, but it was some of our faithful and eager Tyrone community members awaiting the building’s 8 a.m. opening for 2008 Reservoir Park pavilion reservations. People flock to the municipal building steps early into the morning every year to be the first residents to reserve park pavilions for the new year. All the tables are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservation forms must be completed and payment is required at the time the reservation is made. No phone reservations are accepted. This photo was taken around 6:50 a.m. this morning, but most of the people shown were on the steps by 4:30 a.m., and as early as 3:45 a.m. braving the chilling temperatures.
