Swimming in the Tyrone Area pool, Bellefonte proved to be rude guests, winning both the boys and girls races with both teams improving to 3-1.
The Tyrone boys (6-2) fell for the second straight time after winning their opening six meets, managed only three wins in a 91-77 loss to the Bellefonte boys. The Eagles got wins from Dustin Elder in the 100 butterfly, Ethan Nulton in the 100 backstroke and the 400 meter freestyle relay team of Nulton, Allen Hosko, Elder and Ian McGregor.
The Tyrone girls fell to 2-5-1, dropping a 100-62 to the Bellefonte Lady Raiders.
The Lady Eagles won both the 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay, but fanned in all the individual events.
Kelly Pearson, Christina Brisbin Salena Bradigan and Chynna Beisel won the 200 medley relay and Bradigan, Abby Cowfer, Pearson and Beisel won the 400 freestyle relay.
The Tyrone swim teams will travel to Somerset on Monday, Jan. 21 for a meet with the Somerset Golden Eagles.
