The members of Christ United Methodist Church are working on many projects in the upcoming months.
A new, updated church directory is in the works to include names, addresses, emails and telephone numbers of members and friends of the Christ UM Church family.
Anyone with changes since the last directory was printed are asked to notify the church office as soon as possible.
There is also a campaign underway to replace the chairs in the Fellowship Hall.
Council approved the purchase of 200 new chairs with donations from Church members and family.
A donation of $20 will purchase a chair that can be given in memory or in honor of a loved one.
General donations will also be accepted. Checks can be made payable to Christ UMC. Please mark “chairs” on the envelope of all donations.

Also, in observance of Easter, individuals are invited to place a lily in the sanctuary or give a “Flower of Concern” in memory or in honor of a loved one.
Forms are available and are due on or before Sunday, March 9.
A “Flower of Concern” can be given for a donation of $5 or more and a lily cost $6.50 per plant.
The flowers will adorn the sanctuary for Easter worship and can be taken home following 9:30 a.m. service on Sunday, March 23.
And, as always, the Golden Heirs are set to meet February 6 at noon at Joe’s Place. Anyone planning to attend is asked to sign the reservation form on the bulletin board outside the Pastor’s office.
Christ United Methodist Church is located at 1359 Pennsylvania Avenue.
Worship service is held Sunday at 9:30 a.m. followed by Sunday school at 10:30 a.m.
