Theft of Firearm
Between the dates of August 1 through 4, state police said that a Raven semi-automatic pistol with a chrome barrel and white plastic grips, in a black nylon holster, was stolen from the residence of William J. Houp of Tyrone. The incident occurred along Bel-Tip Road in Antis Township. Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call State Police in Hollidaysburg.

Criminal Mischief
State police reported that over the night of August 11 an unknown suspect broke an exterior wall light on the front of William R. Stonebraker’s house along Woods Lane in Antis Township.

Recovered Stolen Property
On August 13, state police issued a statement that its Hollidaysburg station recovered property from a burglary that occurred at the residence of Scott Allen Borgess of Arch Street in Tyrone on January 6, 2008. The property found was a 32 inch Samsung LCD television, television stand, and power cord valued at $1,375. The investigation continued and charges were filed at the Blair County Juvenile Probation Office on August 8, 2008 against three juvenile males ages 16, 16, and 17 years of age.

One Vehicle Crash
State police reported on August 18 that a one vehicle crash occurred along SR 350 in Snyder Township when a 1978 Ford Bronco driven by Jonathan M. Bauman, 20, Philipsburg was traveling south along SR 350. Bauman left the roadway along the southbound berm when he fell asleep at the wheel. He then struck a mailbox post and a large utility pole. Bauman was not wearing his seat belt and suffered minor injuries. Police were assisted at the scene by the Bald Eagle Vol. Fire Company.
