The Tyrone Hospital medical staff recently donated $500 to the Tyrone-Snyder Public Library.
Judie Adams, acting director of the Tyrone Snyder Public Library, said the donation from the hospital’s medical staff will help the library reach its annual fund raising goal.
The library will use the funds donated by the physicians to purchase furniture needed for a teen area that is being developed at the library.
The Tyrone-Snyder Public Library provides many services for the benefit of the community. A variety of programs are provided throughout the year for people of all ages.
Services provided by the library include a children’s area, a large assortment of large print and talking books, a summer reading program, access to personal computers and the internet, and a variety of informational programs. The library also has a community room that is available for rent for meetings and events.
The library is conveniently located in downtown Tyrone and provides free and ample parking on site.
