The Tyrone Hospital Development Council will hold its annual golf event to benefit Tyrone on Wednesday, August 27 at Sinking Valley Country Club. Corporate sponsors of the event are Community Pharmacy and DelGrosso Foods and DelGrosso Amusement Park.
Randy Miles, Sr., Chairman of the Development Council said proceeds from the tournament will be used to help pay for a renovation project that will make improvements to areas of Tyrone Hospital that are the first point of contact for patients. A minimum of $40,000 is needed for the renovation project.  Areas targeted for improvement include the triage area of the emergency room (ER), where patients are first evaluated when they visit the ER for treatment and the patient registration area, which will be redesigned to offer greater privacy for patients.
People who want to support Tyrone Hospital through this event can do so by signing on as a golfer, sponsor, by making a monetary donation in any amount, or by attending the all day BBQ that is held in conjunction with the golf event.
“Whether you golf or not, you can still support Tyrone Hospital through this event,” said Mr. Miles.
The deadline to sign–up for the event as a golfer or sponsor or to purchase tickets for the BBQ is August 8. Mr. Miles said individuals may purchase tickets for the BBQ for either lunch or dinner. The donation to attend the BBQ is $20 per person.
Sponsorship opportunities are as follows; corporate sponsor $1,500, course sponsor $750, tee sponsor $300. The fee for a team of four golfers is $300 and morning and afternoon flights are available.
