On Saturday morning, March 15 at 10:30 a.m. the Tyrone Community Players will present, “The Perfect Nest”, as part of Tyrone’s Irish Heritage Celebration Week.
Performed in the Tyrone-Snyder Public Library, “The Perfect Nest” is a participation play for young audiences, ages three to 10, which runs about 30 minutes. The staff of the library will provide refreshments after the play.
There is no charge for admission.
According to a press release provided by TCP, “The Perfect Nest” is the story of Jack the Cat and his quest to find the perfect nest to attract the perfect bird who will lay the perfect egg to make him a perfect breakfast! Narrated by Cindy Bennett and Jolene the Puppet, the show will be performed by Nancy Sloss, Darcy Wilson, Megan Wagner and Karen Mayhew.
The Children’s Theater Project is sponsored in part by: Target Stores Community Giving Program, Central Pennsylvania Community Foundation and the Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts, the regional arts funding partnership of the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency. State government funding comes through an annual appropriation by Pennsylvania’s General Assembly and from the National Endowment for the Arts, a Federal agency. PPA is administered in this region by the Pennsylvania Rural Arts Alliance.
Watch for the TCP’s next Children’s Theater Project offering which will be “Oliver”, in June of 2008, which includes active on-stage participation for many young thespians. More information about this project will appear in a future edition of The Daily Herald.
