Lost control
State police reported on Feb. 27, William M. McElwain, Jr., 19, Tyrone was traveling south on SR 4027 in Snyder Twp. at too great of speed. McElwain entered into a left curve in the roadway and lost control of his vehicle. He then slid off the roadway and impacted a ditch, and then a concrete barrier. McElwain was wearing a seat belt. He was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic. Tyrone Volunteer Fire Police assisted at the scene.

Ran from police
On March 4, Justin Dodson, 23, Altoona, ran from a state trooper at Parkway Estates in Antis Twp. and was ordered to stop, because he was under arrest. State police reported that after a short foot pursuit, Dodson was taken into custody and arrested for resisting arrest and public drunkenness. He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Fred Miller and released on $10,000 unsecured bail.

Slid on ice
According to state police on March 6, Justin A. Sneath, 23, Bellwood, was traveling north along SR 4021, Bel-Tip Road, in Antis Twp, when he encountered a large patch of ice on the roadway and lost control of his vehicle. Sneath left the roadway to the east and struck a ditch. The vehicle then overturned onto its roof where it came to rest off of the roadway facing west. Sneath was wearing a seat belt. Police were assisted at the scene by PennDOT.

Burglary
On March 8, state police reported an incident along Chocolate Knob Road, off of North 9th Street, Antis Twp., as unknown actor(s) entered into a garage owned by James Elvin Cherry of Bellwood. The actor(s) then stole a surveillance camera and damaged the garage, and then fled the area undetected.
